Undergraduate Travel Award
Applications due November 9, 2007
Xi Chapter of GWIS has established awards to recognize undergraduate scientific achievement. The Undergraduate Research Award helps defray expenses for undergraduate women engaged in scientific research. The Undergraduate Travel Award assists undergraduate women who wish to present their work at scientific research meetings. Applicants are not required to be members of Xi Chapter of GWIS. Individuals may apply for one or both awards, but will be awarded a maximum of one award per calendar year. Past award winners may apply for the alternate award, but are not eligible to compete for the award already given.
Award recipients will be expected to submit a brief written report about their research or travel experiences. This report may be published in the Xi Chapter newsletter and website. In addition, the awardee may be asked to present her research at one of the monthly SDE meetings.
